Melusin’art & Charity Gala
At Casino Luxembourg — Contemporary Art Forum in Luxembourg-city
December 1-2, 2023
As we think back on the Melusin’Art Vernissage and Gala taking place early December at Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain , we are filled with gratitude. It’s been two years since our first events in Luxembourg, and we are humbled by the number of people who showed up to support What Water.
Whether you were a lucky visitor, a student from the Luxembourg European School attending a guided visit, a guest to the Vernissage & Gala, a donor or investor in art, you fueled both our drive and our passion. Thank you!
With your support, every day we get closer to reaching our goal to impact 8 million people in need and facilitate their access to clean water in Central Africa.
We were extremely fortunate to have H.E. Madeleine Liguemoh Ondoua, Ambassador of Cameroon to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg during the Gala. Her words were a reminder of the importance to be united in the fight to preserve universal rights for all.
We also thank Barthélémy Toguo, Artist for Peace at UNESCO, Simone Beck, President for Commission luxembourgeoise pour l’UNESCO and Delphine Munro, Head of Arts and Culture at the European Investment Bank (EIB) for their presence and support!
While celebrating our success in raising awareness, we thank the attendance of 500+ people over 2 days. We also give thanks to those behind the scenes: our sponsors, our partners, the media, and of course, our volunteers.
Including KPMG Luxembourg, Allen & Overy Luxembourg, Fondation Abalone, Luxembourg Art Week, NoW Partners, Lëtzebuerger Journal, 360Crossmedia, Wat Editions , Koosmik.
The months leading up to an event like this are filled with hours of hard work, patience and perseverance. Your constant and renewed trust is essential to us, we thank you dearly and look forward to growing our impact together.
Finally, we thank all of our engaged artists who have entrusted us with an enriched collection of art from 2 continents.
After each event, What Water is filled with new ideas, projects, new partnerships and sponsorship leads, and a wonderful collection of remaining art pieces, but more than anything, What Water knows that it is on a mission. The team went on a mission on February 2024 to continue its quest for impact, read more here.
