From November 1 to 30, Bandjoun Station proudly presents Water is Life, an international art residency in partnership with What Water and the ONG FONDATION JEAN-FELICIEN GACHA. This initiative celebrates the power of art to raise awareness on the essential issue of water access.
Bandjoun Station is a distinctive non-profit initiative created, built, and managed by Cameroonian artist Barthélémy Toguo TOGUO, serving as a hub for cultural exchange and artistic inspiration.
Throughout the month, artists will immerse themselves in Cameroon’s West region, drawing inspiration to create pieces around the theme of water. In partnership with the Gacha Foundation, we’ll be conducting workshops, hosting an exhibition, and much more. Artists will also have the opportunity to explore What Water’s infrastructure firsthand during their stay.
Follow along as these talented artists share their unique perspectives. A What Water delegation will be on site for the restitution and exhibitions at the end of November.
Thank you to all the participating artists for their trust, creativity, and support. We are very curious and excited to see the incredible results they will bring to life.
